The electric vehicle landscape is continually evolving, and Ford Pro is at the forefront with its latest update to the E-Transit van. They are now accepting orders for the 2024 model, which brings significant improvements including more range and speedier charging capabilities.

Extended Range for Diverse Commercial Uses

The 2024 E-Transit is set to appeal to a broad range of commercial needs, thanks to its extended range. A formidable 89 kWh battery replaces the previous 67 kWh power source, delivering an estimated 159 miles of range. This upgrade catalyzes the E-Transit’s versatility, allowing it to serve in new scenarios, such as temperature-controlled deliveries that require refrigeration.

Accelerated Charging Capabilities

Time is a precious commodity in the business world, and the new E-Transit respects this by offering substantially improved charging times. Featuring dual onboard chargers, the van benefits from a 22% enhancement in its charging rate when utilizing Ford Pro’s cutting-edge 80A Series 2 charger and integrated charging software. Level 2 charging efficiency is impressive, with a complete charge achievable in just above six hours, epitomizing convenience for overnight charging schedules.

DC Fast Charging and Improved Access

Adaptability in charging doesn’t end with Level 2 options. The latest E-Transit makes strides in DC fast charging as well, pushing its previous 115kW limit to a robust 176kW. As a result, a low roof model can gain 67 miles of range in a mere 15 minutes, marking a 49% improvement from the last version. With the inclusion of Ford’s new NACS adapter in addition to the CCS port, the E-Transit ensures wider charging network compatibility.

Customizable for Specific Business Needs

Built for customization, Ford’s E-Transit comes in varying configurations to suit distinct business requirements. Prospective buyers can choose between two lengths, three roof heights, three body styles, and enjoy up to 487 cubic feet of cargo volume, ensuring that each van can be tailored to the specifics of any commercial task.

Affordability and Accessibility

Ford Pro’s commitment to making electric mobility accessible is evident in the pricing of the 2024 E-Transit. Starting at $51,095 before destination fees, this van is just $1,100 more than last year’s model. The E-Transit remains competitively priced, particularly when considering the $7,500 federal EV tax credit and additional state or utility incentives, lowering the effective cost to businesses even further. Orders for this leading commercial EV can be placed through any authorized Ford dealer.

With innovative upgrades to range, charging, and customization, the 2024 Ford E-Transit is poised to maintain its status as America’s top-selling commercial EV, driving forward the electrification of the commercial vehicle sector.
