Annie Liu’s Industry Experience
Liu’s professional journey boasts a significant tenure at Tesla as the Head of Supply Chain, Battery and Energy, where she spearheaded the formation and nurturing of multi-billion dollar affinities and sourcing deals. Her tenure is marked by not only bridging partnerships with titans such as Albemarle, Livent, and Ganfeng but also by her instrumental role at Ford Motor Company. As an Executive Director there, she fortified Ford’s battery supply chain for its Model E division, signifying her valuable expertise in commercial team leadership and partnership management.

Embracing her role at Mangrove, Liu expressed her zest for steering the company’s commercial stride while abetting the establishment of a new lithic paradigm, characterized by high-purity production and commitment to environmental and social accountability, drastically cutting down on waste and chemical use.

In sync with Annie’s arrival, Mangrove is on the threshold of erecting its first flagship commercial plant within North America. With the location and raw material sources already pinpointed, this pioneering refining operation promises to alleviate the current reliance on China for lithium conversion, paving the way for a sustainable, cost-effective, domestic lithium repository by 2025.
