With a nod to the past and a leap into the future, Maeving launches electric motorcycles that capture the essence of classic café racers and bobbers. These sleek rides pay homage to traditional British design, all the while sporting a modern, zero-emission electric drivetrain. As the UK’s pioneer in electric motorcycle manufacturing, Maeving represents a blend of heritage and innovation.
A Classic Reborn in the Heart of British Motorcycling
Breathing new life into the British Midlands’ rich motorcycling history, Maeving’s electric bikes roll off the assembly lines in the same locale that once birthed iconic brands such as BSA, Norton, Royal Enfield, and Triumph. Coveted for their design and performance, these brands set the standard for motorcycles worldwide, a legacy Maeving now carries forward with its electric models.
Electrifying Performance with the RM1S and RM1
Maeving’s fleet includes two distinct electric models: the more robust RM1S, with a 7kW motor peaking at 10.5kW, and the beginner-friendly RM1, powered by a 3kW motor peaking at 4.4kW. The RM1S boasts a top speed of 70 mph and a commendable range of up to 80 miles on a single charge. Meanwhile, the RM1 caps at 45 mph but also affords an 80-mile range, perfect for city commutes.
Convenience Meets Retro Charm
The Maeving motorcycles blend form and function, featuring a 2.6-gallon storage compartment within the faux gas tank already equipped with charging ports for devices on the go. The bikes also indulge in retro flair, showcasing an analog-style speedometer and a beautifully crafted diamond-stitch seat. Their suspension systems—comprised of a front fork with 110mm of travel and dual rear shocks with 80mm—along with the classic Dunlap K70 tires, ensure a smooth, nostalgic ride.
Maeving Steps into the US Market
Expanding beyond the UK, Maeving has made landfall in the United States, currently catering to California residents with plans to organize test rides in the Los Angeles area. The RM1 can be embraced for a starting price of $6,495, while its powerhouse companion, the RM1S, starts at $8,995. Eager riders can reserve their spots with a refundable deposit, anticipating deliveries to begin in July of 2024.
These electric motorcycles from Maeving offer a classic ride without the emissions, fusing historical design with contemporary technology for a stylish and eco-friendly urban journey.
