The solar and storage industry is taking steps to assess and improve workforce satisfaction through a new survey. In 2019, a survey revealed significant areas in need of development, such as representation, wage gaps, and overall job satisfaction. Recognizing the importance of addressing these issues, the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) has launched a new survey to measure workforce satisfaction.

SEIA President and CEO, Abigail Ross Hopper, expressed the need for improvement, stating, “When we last surveyed the solar and storage workforce in 2019, the results showed we had a lot of work to do to improve representation, close wage gaps, and boost job satisfaction across the board.”

The survey aims to gather data on workforce demographics, job quality, and employee experiences within the solar and storage industry. By identifying areas for improvement, SEIA hopes to create a more inclusive and rewarding work environment for all professionals in the field.

This initiative showcases the industry’s commitment to addressing important issues related to diversity, inclusion, and job satisfaction. By actively seeking feedback from its workforce, the solar and storage industry can take significant steps towards creating positive change and ensuring a more prosperous future for its professionals.
