Toyota Boshoku America, Inc. (TBA), a leading automotive supplier, has joined forces with the renewable energy experts Sol Systems and Onyx Renewable Partners L.P. to launch an ambitious solar project. The 5,650 kWdc solar installation will be dedicated to energizing the TBIL facility in Illinois, serving as a model of renewable integration within the manufacturing sector.
Project Details
The completion of this solar endeavor is anticipated by the end of 2024, spanning over 17 acres. Expected to generate over 9.5 million kilowatt-hours in its inaugural year, it will significantly offset TBIL’s electricity consumption, meeting over 85% of its yearly requirements. This initiative is akin to energizing 880 homes annually, thus creating a substantial impact.
