Vietnamese electric vehicle maker VinFast is presenting four of its electric vehicle models at the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS), Qatar 2023, currently taking place in Doha until October 14, 2023.
This marks the first official introduction of VinFast’s fully electric vehicles to the Middle East market, indicating the company’s intention to expand in this region by exploring investment potential and partnership opportunities. It also marks the first time the GIMS is being held outside of Switzerland, its home country.
Expanding in the Middle East Market
Madam Le Thi Thu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of Vingroup and Global CEO of VinFast, explains that VinFast’s strategy is focused on rapid expansion, bringing the allure of electric vehicles to markets with a strong demand for them. The Middle East, experiencing a significant shift towards electrified mobility and anticipating exponential growth, is a dynamic region that aligns with VinFast’s goals.
This showcase at the Qatar round of the Geneva International Motor Show serves not only as an opportunity for the public to see VinFast’s offerings but also as a chance for local investors to discover the company’s innovations.
An Impressive Lineup
VinFast is displaying four electric vehicle models at the exhibition: VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9. Visitors and local investors have the opportunity to experience their stylish designs and smart features.
The VF 6 and VF 7 models, designed by Torino Design, compete in the B and C segments. The VF 6 is suitable for young families advocating a green lifestyle, while the VF 7 is an ideal choice for successful and individualistic young people.
In the D and E segments, VinFast’s premium models are the VF 8 and VF 9, designed by Pininfarina. Both models offer fashionable and classy designs, delivering smart and safe driving experiences. The VF 8 is already being delivered to customers in the North American market, and reservations for both models are open globally.
Advanced Technology and Safety
Each VinFast model is equipped with modern technology features and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), ensuring safe and convenient experiences for customers. The company also offers a comprehensive warranty policy, providing 10 years/125,000 miles for the vehicle and 10 years unlimited miles for the battery, along with outstanding after-sales support.
Partnership Opportunities and Expansion
Aside from showcasing its electric vehicle models, VinFast aims to find Middle East partners to explore research opportunities and contribute to the promotion of green mobility solutions in the region.
While VinFast is a relatively new company, it has quickly become a major player in the electric vehicle market. With a comprehensive product pipeline including electric scooters, electric cars, electric buses, and advanced battery and charging solutions, VinFast is currently operating in Vietnam, the US, Canada, and Europe, actively seeking opportunities for further expansion into other markets.
Middle East Market Focus
VinFast considers the Middle East a strategic market and is conducting numerous vehicle testing activities in the region.
Madame Thuy concludes, “VinFast’s mission is to offer a diverse array of options, enabling easier access to intelligent, premium electric vehicles at competitive prices, accompanied by unparalleled after-sales support. We aspire to contribute to the realization of sustainable mobility goals in this dynamic region.”
